The EEA/EFTA countries have signed an agreement with the EU on new financial contributions for 2009-2014. The Government Office for Development and European Affairs (GODEA) in cooperation with the Norwegian Embassy hosted a workshop on the EEA and Norway Grants May the 12th. In the period up to 2009, Norway will contribute EUR 1.134 billion to the EEA grants for 13 countries. Protection of the European Cultural Heritage is given high priority, and is specified as a focus area in most of the Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between the EFTA states/Norway and the 13 countries. Projects in this focus area are eligible for support through the EEA grants. Read more >
